It was only a short while ago that we heard word that award winning indie-platformer Fez would be coming to other platforms, such as the PC. Now, we finally have a concrete date. According to Eurogamer and Fez creator Phil Fish, Fez will be launching on Steam for PC users everywhere on May 1st.

And that’s not all! Fez is going to be coming to more platforms than just the PC. According to Fish, a Mac port will also be made, though an official release date for the port has not yet been set. Fish is also in talks with Sony to port Fez to the Vita, but he, “couldn’t 100 percent confirm that yet.”

Lots of people have been asking for a 3DS Fez port, stating that the console's stereoscopic 3D capabilities would be a natural fit for a game that plays with dimensions so readily. However, Fish doesn’t think it’s as natural a fit as his fanbase does. "People keep assuming Fez would be a no-brainer on 3DS, but in truth it would be kind of pointless," he said. "The game is practically always shown in isometric 3D, there's never any perspective there. I don't think it would work."

In any further release of Fez, the save corrupting bugs that were unable to be patched out of the current Xbox 360 version will obviously be fixed.

Perhaps the most interesting thing that Fish said was that Fez hasn’t been completely discovered by gamers yet. There are still secrets hidden in Fez that no one has uncovered despite the multitude of 100% runs that we have seen on the internet. So pick up the game again and see if you can discover all of Fish’s hidden Easter Eggs before the new versions come out!
