Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Screens Paint are Awesomely ’80s
The insanity that is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon continues to mount with newly released screenshots showing of just how retro Ubisoft is willing to go.
“The year is 2007. It is the future. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war and new paths for peace must be found. A U.S. cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. A Mark IV Cyber Commando, Sergeant Rex Power Colt has been sent over to gather information and figure out what the hell is going on.”
Now if Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon doesn’t sound like the best story ever written for all time, I don’t know what does. The new screens arrive courtesy of AllGamesBeta, but the awesome they blast into your eyes comes straight from the developer. Oddly enough, Ubisoft still hasn’t actually confirmed anything about Blood Dragon, despite launching a website, crafting screenshots, putting out a soundtrack, and pushing all sorts of bizarre promotional materials out.
Most info points to Blood Dragon coming to PSN, PC, and XBLA sometime soon, but without an official announcement, these screens are as close as we’ll get to the retro-infused crazy that is Ubisoft’s next venture.
