The crazy antics of Lionhead Studios' long-awaited return to the Fable franchise expand to PC, offering cross-platform connectivity for its asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay.

The Xbox Wire has released the latest trailer for Fable Legends, which will be the first major Fable title Lionhead Studios will have put out in five years (we don't count that Kinect abomination, Fable: The Journey). With all of Microsoft's big Windows 10 announcements that were made this week, this little gem could have slipped through the cracks. Luckily, we are happy to report that Fable Legends will be coming out for PC (via Windows 10) alongside its Xbox One release. We know, we know; there have been plenty of games to debut on PC and home consoles at the same time, but there is one major difference -- Fable Legends will offer cross-platform play across Windows 10 and Xbox One. With Street Fighter V offering cross-platform play between PS4 and PC, Fable Legends is the first title to openly do the same with the Xbox One and PC.

Fable Legends will have an Evolve-like asymmetrical aspect to its multiplayer. The game has four Heroes and one Villain, where each character is played by a real life player. While Fable's signature single-player gameplay is possible, heroes are encouraged to band together to stop the devious and powerful Villain.

While no release date has been announced, Lionhead Studios is aiming to release Fable Legends sometime this year for PC and Xbox One.
