Fans who've been chomping at the bit for Evolve's closed "Big Alpha" test will be pleased to know it will launch on one of the scariest weekends of the year.

The 4v1 multiplayer shooter developed by Left 4 Dead creators Turtle Rock Studios will run its alpha test from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, letting fans get in on some of the insane action they've been seeing through previews. Those who have pre-ordered the game will enjoy guaranteed access on PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

It's important to note that the Xbox One will get an additional 24 hours of alpha test time and begin on Oct. 30, while the PC and PlayStation 4 tests will begin on Oct. 31. Any Xbox One users who want a chance to participate in the Big Alpha can register on this site.

Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios, said, "We need to stress test the servers and the matchmaking system, look at balance, unlock rates, etc. The alpha test is not fully representative of the final product, but it’s our chance to see what the game looks like in the real world, and we will test again in the open beta for Evolve exclusively for Xbox One in January 2015. The data gathered in the tests will help make Evolve the best that it can possibly be when it launches on February 10, 2015.”

If you'd like a chance to get into the alpha, save these codes and visit the Evolve Blog in order to find out where to plug it in, as well as more opportunities to get into the test.
