This upcoming space-shooter is getting a pretty makeover as Kara Thrace joins the dogfight.

PCWorld reports that EVE-VR has evolved from a virtual reality prototype into EVE: Valkyrie. Valkyrie now exists as an Oculus Rift launch title, an official title for Sony's Project Morpheus headset and has revamped its development in order to accommodate its spotlight. The game has shed its original Unity Engine for the Unreal Engine 4 in order to optimize its graphics for the Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift VR headsets. In particular, the lightning engine brought in by Unreal 4 truly make a difference.

On top of its graphics makeover, CCP is adding Katee Sackhoff to EVE: Valkyrie's cast. Battlestar Galactica fans should recognize the blonde bombshell as Starbuck from the popular franchise reboot of the series in 2004. Sackhoff will be portraying Ran, the leader of the Valkyries.

Be ready for an amazing spaceship experience straight from the pilot's perspective as EVE: Valkyrie is coming to PS4 with Project Morpheus support and to the Oculus Rift via PC later this year.
