One of the greatest voice actors in the business explained that as far as he knows, this current Uncharted project could be the last entry of the series.

In an interview with IGN, veteran voice actor Nolan North, the voice of Nathan Drake throughout the Uncharted series, believes that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be Naughty Dog's last entry in the series. He also voiced his opinion that he hopes no other studio should try to continue the story without Naughty Dog.

"It’s bittersweet but at a certain point you want to go out on top," North said. "If this is the last one indeed, and I believe it’s the last one - nothing’s confirmed, but I believe it’s the last one Naughty Dog wants to do, in which case I hope somebody else doesn’t pick up the mantle because they’ve done it so well for so long - but yeah, it’s one of those things where you just have to cross that bridge when you get to it."

With series writer and creative director Amy Hennig and Uncharted 3 director Justin Richmond both gone, it is on The Last of Us' directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley to take charge of what could be Nathan Drake's last adventure.

"I like the idea of going out on top so we better do a hell of a job with this one… and it’s already looking pretty good," North added.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is expected for a 2015 release exclusively for PlayStation 4.
