Trendy Entertainment has finally revealed some co-op gameplay footage for Dungeon Defenders 2. If you were looking for a cartoony-looking hack and slash tower defense game, then rejoice, because one is on its way.

The original Dungeon Defenders was an insanely fun game and this sequel should prove no different. From the looks of all the trailers and screenshots, Dungeon Defenders 2 looks to have an insane amount of charm, personality, and sense of humor.

Of course you'll have the usual tower defense mode, but the upcoming Dungeon Defenders 2 will also have the aforementioned co-op mode, as well as competition modes. The full game will be released in two parts and will be completely free to play. The reasoning behind the two-time release is that Trendy Entertainment wants a bit more time to work on the co-op gameplay.

The trailer below features pre-alpha footage, but it is already looking like a ton of fun! What could be more enjoyable than slashing your way through a host of baddies while defending your tower. Oh, did we mention there will be loot? A whole lot of loot.

Dungeon Defenders 2 doesn't have a release date yet, but we'll keep you up to date. It is planned to be released for Mac, PC, iOS, and Android with full cross-platform compatibility.
