Square Enix is getting set to unload the full Dragon Quest catalog onto you fine mobile gamers. Prepare yourselves for a whole lot of slimes.

According to Polygon, executive producer Yuu Miyake and mobile producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto said during a translated interview at PAX that the mobile port of the original Dragon Quest game will be released in September. This initial title, which was known as Dragon Warrior upon its debut in the U.S., will be a "revamped version," meaning that it'll probably sport updated graphics, sound and maybe even some new content.

Fujimoto said, "We are planning to release in the first part of September the first Dragon Quest We're hoping to release [Dragon Quest] 2 and 3 in order in a period of two or three months, in a short span. We're planning to release subsequent numbered [games] -- whatever is left -- we hope to release that in order as well."

The aim is to bring the games to people who might not have experienced the titles before, giving them a chance to play on a more casual basis. Then, there are also the veterans who have enjoyed the games before, who might want to purchase them on the mobile platform for nostalgia's sake.

We look forward to seeing the whole library available on mobile devices during the next several months. You can already check out Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King on the iOS platform, as well as Dragon Quest 4: Chapters of the Chosen. However you slice it, there's plenty of first-person, RPG goodness to go around.
