Disney Infinity Shifts into Gear With Cars Play Set Trailer

The newest trailer for Disney Infinity showcases the Cars play set, complete with characters like Lightning McQueen and Mater.

Whether you're a fan of racing games, open-world adventures, or you're just a big Disney/Pixar nut, you'll probably find something to like in the new Cars play set.

You'll be able to control characters from the franchise such as Lightning McQueen, Mater, Holly Shiftwell, and Francesco Bernoulli. These characters are tasked with setting up an international race in Radiator Springs, with the goal of drawing many racers to the event.

Players can build their own full-sized tracks and pull of sick tricks in a stunt park. Once they've sated their need for speed and are done with the vehicular acrobatics, players can customize the town to their liking and move things around for tourists.

The Car play set will add the driving/racing mechanics to Disney Infinity's Toy Box, letting them build tracks in their own, customized world. Want a track that features a jump, letting you soar over different Disney/Pixar characters like Sully? No problem! Just let your imagination get to work!

The Toy Box mode lets characters from all of the play sets interact with each other, so you can have Jack Sparrow riding on top of Lightning McQueen, just in case the Black Pearl doesn't have an all-terrain feature in the game.
