‘Star Wars Rebels’ Cast Added to Disney Infinity 3.0

The ragtag group of heroes opposing the Empire in Star Wars Rebels are joining the roster of Disney Infinity 3.0.

Lucasfilm and Disney Interactive have confirmed that the core characters from the new animated series, Star Wars Rebel, are heading to Disney Infinity 3.0. The characters being featured are Kanan Jarrus, a Jedi turned Rebel fugitive; Ezra Bridger, Kanan's Padawan apprentice; Sabine Wren, a stealthy demolitions expert; and Zeb Orrelios, a massive brawler who hates the Emperor. Each of these characters will have their own Infinity figurine and can be used in every Star Wars Play Set coming to Disney Infinity 3.0. Unfortunately, the mysterious and nefarious Sith Inquisitor character will not be featured.

The Star Wars Rebels characters will be sold separately. The prequel trilogy-based Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic will be included in Disney Infinity 3.0's Starter Pack, which will cost $64.99 when it launches this fall for Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The Starter Pack will contain the Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figurines as well as the Infinity base. Players should know that the series is forward compatible. This means that older figures from Disney Infinity 1-2 will work with 3.0, but the new figurines will not work with the previous versions of the game. An upcoming playset based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens is in the works as well.

Season Two of Star Wars Rebels (which takes place between Episodes III and IV) will begin June 20 on Disney XD.
