Last week, an E3 2014 trailer was shown for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX which ended with a little tease for Kingdom Hearts 3. Well, it turns out that we watched the intro for the game.

According to Jason Schreier of Kotaku, co-director of Kingdom Hearts 3 Tai Yasue spoke to him and revealed that the teaser at the end of the E3 2014 trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX was the first thing you'd see upon playing the upcoming role-playing game.

The flashbacks and voice-overs are all from co-director Tetsuya Nomura. Yasue said, "hat's the starting scene for Kingdom Hearts III, actually. Co-director Tetsuya] Nomura has a real clear picture of the starting sequence. He wrote that up actually, the drawings, and we voice-recorded that. That's gonna be a real integral part of the story of Kingdom Hearts III. It's gonna be the starting point of Kingdom Hearts III."

During the interview, Schreier tried to pull more info about Kingdom Hearts 3 out of Yasue, to which the co-director replied, "As a developer I'm really excited, the technology is totally different, and creatively it's moving at leaps and bounds."

Apparently there will be big setpieces that will feel like "a theme park sort of ride-based action." We're looking forward to seeing what kind of thrills the next chapter in the Kingdom Hearts saga will hold, but we'll have to wait a good while since it's still in development and doesn't even have a tentative release window. We'll update you on Kingdom Hearts 3 as more information is revealed. Until then, just check out the tease above and pretend that you've just started up the game.
