Bungie has revealed the bonus content you get for pre-ordering Destiny's third expansion, quieting the rumors that it was supposedly a GameStop exclusive.

Polygon reports that those who pre-order Destiny: The Taken King will have access to the Suros Arsenal Pack. This pre-order content was leaked last night on the Destiny Reddit, resulting in Bungie having to make an official announcement and clarify a few discrepancies in what was being said. The following leaked advertisement had fans thinking the worse, that the Suros Arsenal would feature in-game content exclusive to Destiny pre-orders at GameStop:

Based on the advertisement's wording and color scheme of the Shader, Emblem and guns, it's easy to see why fans may have thought this content was a GameStop exclusive. Luckily, Bungie revealed this is not the case.

Here's what Bungie representatives had to say about this content:

Early access to Suros Arsenal Pack is available starting 09.15.15. Suros Arsenal Pack can be attained by pre-order of digital and physical editions of Destiny: The Taken King or by the purchase of the digital or physical Collector’s Edition. Suros Arsenal Pack can also be attained through gameplay starting on 01.01.16. Suros Arsenal Pack is not exclusive to any retailer or platform. Subject to availability.

Destiny: The Taken King will launch on Sept. 15. Pre-ordering any version of the game (including its standard and collector's editions) will score you the Suros Arsenal content, regardless if you go for its physical or digital version. Bungie revealed that the Suros Arsenal will be available in-game starting on Jan. 1, 2016 for anyone who didn't pre-order the expansion.
