Activision's and Bungie's new gaming endeavor may be headed to more consoles than we originally thought.

Just announced formally this past Sunday, Destiny promises to combine social networking with gaming in ways that haven't been done before. What that means is anyone's guess right now, as Bungie is still keeping its cards rather close to the vest in regards to actual details about Destiny.

Though the game is expected to arrive on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, there's a chance Destiny might be shared on more consoles in the future. Sure, everyone expects Destiny to be a fully-fledged next-generation title for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720. But did anyone think Bungie might be bringing the game to the Vita or Wii U?

As VG247 pointed out, Destiny's pre-order page only lists the PS3 and 360 versions of the game as available for early adopters. However, a quick look at the page's code revealed strings in place for the Wii U, Vita, and PC. A quick call to Gamestop revealed just the PS3 and 360 skus in their database for now, but Activision does love to publish games on as many devices as possible to gain the widest audience.

Perhaps Bungie will announce more versions of the game as we get closer to release, or even at this year's E3. For now though, Destiny looks like a two horse race.
