As time winds down to the launch of Destiny: House of Wolves, Bungie has released a preview video showcasing the expansion's features.

Bungie's new Destiny: House of Wolves preview video is getting us hyped to become Guardians once again. We're a little under two weeks until the expansion's launch, and we can't wait to participate in the game's new features. As we previously reported, the House of Wolves expansion will feature a new Trials of Osiris arena, which features 3v3 combat where teams only have two minutes to obliterate the other with no automatic respawning. On top of this, Crucible matches will now churn out twice as many marks as they used to. Prison of Elders will add a horde mode-like survival environment where you and two other players must fight wave after wave of enemies. We also learned about the Shadow Thief Strike, which will lead up to a boss fight against a Fallen leader named Taniks. New Crucible maps include the Thieve's Den, Widow's Court and the Black Shield.

In terms of gear, you'll be able to score Etheric Light and other upgrade items that will help improve your existing exotics (there are a bunch of new ones coming as well). Speaking of gear, Bungie is adding a new Secondary Weapon class, sidearms. Sidearms are like handguns that are much smaller than the Hand Cannon and function more like a machine pistol, with a higher rate of fire but slightly less damage. This is a great companion piece for those who use a Scout Rifle and want something faster to take out swarms of mobs at close-to-medium range.

Destiny's House of Wolves expansion will debut on May 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners. It will cost $19.99 and is included with the game's $34.99 Expansion Pass.
