Bungie is having Destiny's Exotic vendor, Xur, working extended hours until Monday night due to the online outages the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live suffered throughout the week.

Worried about not being able to spend those Strange Coins since you couldn't log on to Destiny this weekend? Bungie understands your frustrations and has Xur putting in overtime until 10:00 PM PST Monday, Dec. 29, to help make amends. The PlayStation Network and Xbox Live's services have been experiencing outages and limited connectivity due to supposed DDoS attacks by the hacker group Lizard Squad combined with an influx of new systems from the holidays trying to go online for the first time. Luckily, you'll be able to spend your Motes of Light a little bit later than usual at this weekend-only vendor.

David "DeeJ" Dague, Bungie's Community Manager, had the following to say about Xur's extended hours:

Hey, Destiny Community.

We understand that Xur has been hard to reach for a lot of you this weekend, so we’re going to extend his stay. Our current plan is to allow him to remain in the Tower with his current inventory until Monday night at 10pm PST, just before the weekly reset. We’ll also keep an eye on the overall situation, and prolong the extension, as needed, for as long as is feasible.

Next week, Xur will return to his regular schedule, with refreshed inventory.

Thank you for your patience!
