Defiance Contest Lands Winner A Trip To South By Southwest

The premiere of the Syfy series Defiance is just around the corner, and a contest coordinated by Klout will give the winner a trip to Austin and entrance to SXSW Interactive, as well as the ability to stay at the Defiance Container Village.

The Defiance Container Village isn't a prison for contest winners, but an environment which recreates aspects of the show's world in downtown Austin. The contest, which runs through Friday March 1st, rewards the individual who best uses their social media influence in sharing select Defiance content. Starring Grant Bowler, Julie Benz (Dexter), and Mia Kirshner (The L Word), Defiance is a collaboration between Syfy and Trion Worlds. Attempting to seamlessly link a TV series with a mass multi player video game is a gargantuan task. Whether all that ambition pays off is a discussion that should be tabled until the show's April 15th premiere.
