Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC Announced

Visceral's Dead Space 3 only just arrived today, but the developer already has plans in store for the first bit of add-on content.

Due out in March, "Awakened" will be the first story downloadable content for Dead Space 3. Available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the $9.99 (800MSP) DLC promises to take players into, "the darkest chapters as the Necromorph battles become even more gruesome and terrifying than ever before."

Story specifics are sparse at the moment, but that's to be expected considering few people have even finished the game at all at this point. More details on the DLC should be coming before the end of the month, once Visceral lets some time pass to allow people to actually play Dead Space 3. Which is what you'll be doing today, right?
