Dead Island Riptide Screenshots Show a Paradise Lost

Dead Island Riptide will unleash all of its tropical, zombie-filled mayhem later this month, but for now let's take a look at some brand new screenshots of the postmortem horror awaiting us.

From the looks of the screenshots, someone stuck a bit of The Lost World of Jurassic Park on the Banoi Archipelago and called it a day. It's a welcome change from some of the environments in the original Dead Island, since now we're treated to a more lush, jungle-like experience. Hey, if you're going to be fighting off the undead, you might as well do it in a tropical wonderland, right?

What makes the world of Dead Island so interesting is the fact that many gamers are used to battling zombies in primarily urban or rural settings, so fighting them in what's basically a rainforest is a welcome change of pace.
