Gamescom 2014 marks the first time Deep Silver's tropical survival horror sequel will be playable for the public.

CVG reports that Deep Silver will have multiple playable games on deck for Gamescom 2014, including Dead Island 2. Also playable at Gamescom from Deep Silver will be Metro Redux, Risen 3: Titan Lords, Sacred 3, Emergency 5 and Dead Island Epidemic. Deep Silver will have over 150 PCs and consoles to showcase its lineup, meaning everyone will get a chance to at least play Emergency 5.

Dead Island 2 will continue to provide its addictive, over-the-top and survivalist approach to the zombie apocalypse. Make sure you grab an oar, because this first-person zombie-slayer is going to boat.

Be ready to revisit the undead islands when Dead Island 2 comes out in spring 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Hopefully, Deep Silver will give us a formal release date during Gamescom, which starts in less than two weeks.
