A recent trailer teased a video for Dark Souls 2 called "Forging a Hero," which looked like it featured some armor from the game being made. Now that the video proper has been released, we get to see the whole process.

The video stars a master armorer from the Armedia blacksmith company located by the Franco-Swiss border in Europe. We see pieces of armor from the hero of Dark Souls 2's default look being forged, one by one. It's interesting to see the process and it's more than a little shocking to learn that the entire outfit takes eight weeks to complete.

But once the armor's complete and the hero dons it in real life, it looks incredible. And it looks.. heavy.

Watch the video above and let us know what you think about the process. Do you think you could rock that heavy armor and embody the hero of Dark Souls 2?

Dark Souls 2 will be tearing gamers a new one on  March 14, 2014 when it’s released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
