We're just gonna come out and say it -- we like the look of indie developer Redbreast Studios and their upcoming iOS space sim game Rogue Star. Even though we don't have much to look at yet, we just have a good feeling about this one.

But who are these Redbreast Studios guys? Well, it just so happens that the small team have worked on a few titles that might register on your radar: Fable 2 and Fable 3, Dungeon Keeper, and Burnout. Ahh, that explains it. These guys have some pedigree.

In Rogue Star, players will be responsible for guiding their craft through a hostile star system. It's where intrepid space explorers will come up against some of the the galaxy's worst -- a wretched hive of scum and villainy, if you will.

To survive, you'll need to have your wits about you. Sometimes you will be able to barter your way out of trouble. But more often than not, there will be a space dogfight in your cards, so you have to be ready to fight at all times. There's no shortage of space pirates to be found in Rogue Star.

While we don't have a hard release date yet, iOS gamers should be seeing this game on iPhone sometime in March, according to the official Rogue Star Twitter feed:

For now, check out this cool teaser trailer. Is it just us, or does this remind you guys of Homeworld at all?
