Frima Studios has announced the PlayStation 4 release date of its unique co-op game, Chariot.

A post on the PlayStation Blog features words from Chariot's Creative Lead and Programmer, Philippe Dion, as well as the official launch trailer. Dion lets us know when Chariot will be released on PlayStation 4 and explores a little bit of what kind of game Chariot is, aside from being a co-operative title.

In Chariot, a princess and her fiance are tasked with the king to find his final resting place. They have to tote him around together in his chariot, which is pretty much his mobile coffin, while spelunking for materials and treasure, all the while solving some physics-based platforming puzzles. The gems and gold they gather will help decorate the coffin and lay him to rest in style.

As you can see from the launch trailer, it's a fairly unique game with interesting physics and mechanics. We can't wait to get our hands on it when it launches on Sept. 30, 2014 for the PlayStation 4.
