It's been a while since our last Arcade Spotlight, but that isn't my fault. Arcades are closing left and right and it's tough finding ones that have a decent website. Lucky for me, and for the residents of New York, there's a brand spanking new pinball place that just opened to the public!
One of my dreams is to open up an awesome retro arcade here in Los Angeles. The arcades we do have are terrible. Broken, run down machines in an environment where dirt is more welcome than customers. When my pipe dream does come true, I hope to model my arcade after Yestercades. A cool place we had to feature in this edition of the Arcade Spotlight!
While some of you threw hamburgers on the grill, or sat on an inner tube for eight hours getting sunburned for Labor Day, a few people spent their holiday weekend doing what every American should be doing with their day off -- spending it in an arcade! And this Arcade Spotlight focuses on a cool gaming place in Columbia, MO.
It's been over a month since our last Arcade Spotlight (hey, arcades are getting hard to find), but this latest gaming nugget we ran across is a good one. Ever heard of Gobles? We haven't either. But they have a sweet arcade!
Sega, the awesome company that still believes in the arcade, has a new game ready to transform and roll out.
We're back with another edition of the Arcade Spotlight, this time focusing on an arcade at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA. I went and visited this popular tourist
trap spot this past weekend and went inside to check out the arcade. Is it worth visiting? Let's find out!
Long time readers of this site know what a complete retro arcade freak I am. It's one of the reasons I started the Arcade Spotlight series, so I could highlight arcade culture and help spread the word that arcades aren't dead yet. And if this new Kickstarter project passes, we'll have one more reason to bask in the glory days of gaming.
Another Arcade Sushi Arcade Spotlight is here! Just in time for the 4th of July weekend. Put the kids in the car and head on down to Alameda, CA. where an awesome arcade resides.
Our Arcade Spotlight features returns, this time focusing on a big gaming establishment in Florida that loves games, beer and apparently cheerleaders. If this were a prison, everyone would commit a crime just so they could be locked up here. Take a look at Gametime in this week's Arcade Spotlight!
