Kickstarter of the Day – Pixel Press
Today’s Kickstarter of the Day is Pixel Press, a new game creation platform for iOS and Android that lets you draw your own platforming stages, literally. The game’s primary tool isn’t inside the software at all. Instead, Pixel Press allows you to draw your own platforming stages on plain old paper! You then take a picture of the level with your iOS or Android device, and Pixel Press interprets what you drew into a fully playable 2D platformer level.
Hands-on Preview: World War Z For iOS
Paramount's new action thriller World War Z is coming out in theaters on June 21st. The Brad Pitt vehicle tells the story of Gerry Lane, an ex-United Nations employee tasked with trying to find a cure for a pandemic that's sweeping the planet. Daddy Was a Thief Review
Take one part endless runner, one part Ice Climbers, toss them in a tumbler with a nifty interface, good music and visual design, and you pretty much have Daddy Was a Thief. However, the resulting mixture is not exactly a finely crafted cocktail. It's more like something Homer would make for breakfast. Much like those moon waffles, Daddy Was a Thief offers a tasty first bite, but that's about all you can manage before it becomes a bit too much.
