Everyone knows that Capcom specializes in crafting great fighting games. They've been at it for years. But it seems that they might be slowing down their digital re-release schedule.

According to a post in the Capcom-Unity forums, Capcom's Christian Svensson mentioned that their log of fighting games is becoming exhausted and that it is becoming less and less feasible to make a profit on the older titles. He also mentions that there is a substantial "drop-off" with each new re-release.

Basically, not all of your favorite old Capcom titles from yesteryear will be making the leap into digital distribution. This may be sad for some, but Capcom already has a decent stable of classic fighting games to whet your appetite.

Svensson also mentioned that Capcom was hard at work on more current and next-gen titles for digital distribution. So don't worry, you'll be able to get your Capcom fighter fix well into the new generation of consoles.
