Capcom Announces Fantasy Title Deep Down

Deep Down

While Sony was more than happy to show off its first-party exclusives for the PlayStation 4, they let some third-party pals like Capcom drop by to show what they had in the works as well.

Capcom has a long history with the PlayStation brand, and it looks like that relationship will continue to blossom on the PS4. The company is working on a new engine, codenamed Panta Rhei, for next generation systems, and debuted the first footage from its new fantasy epic Deep Down Wednesday night.

Now, Deep Down is just a working title, and it happens to share some of the same key letters as Capcom’s surprise fantasy hit of 2012, Dragon’s Dogma. We’re not saying Deep Down is definitely a successor, but you can check out the trailer below and decide for yourself just how much the two games have in common.
