Sledgehammer Games and Activision have announced the Day Zero Edition of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, giving you access to its multiplayer and a lot of other features, a full day in advance.

Living up to its namesake, the Day Zero Edition of this new Call of Duty game will be available for players a full day in advance, offering the entire CoD experience for those who pre-order the game at participating retailers. Instead of the Nov. 4 launch date, you can get your copy of Advanced Warfare on Nov. 3. We're pretty sure GameStop workers are breathing a sigh of relief for that one. From the moment they log, Day Zero players will have a full 24 hours of double XP along with two custom weapons, the Theak-12G Assault Rifle and the Crossbow-B2. The Day Zero Edition will also include the Bullet Brass Exoskeleton and the EM1 Quantum Directed Energy Weapon. Your guess as to what the EM1 does is as good as ours.

The Day Zero Edition is available for all platforms. Those who have already pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of Advanced Warfare will also be able to get their game on Nov. 3 with all of the bonuses of the Day Zero Edition included. You should also check with your local retailer to see whether or not they will be participating in selling the Day Zero Edition a day early. Lastly, the Day Zero Edition will be available for digital download on Nov. 3, likely to be starting at midnight.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare takes the battlefield (pun intended) to a whole new level on Nov. 4 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The Day Zero Edition of Advanced Warfare will drop on Nov. 3.

Playing Advanced Warfare a day early isn't much of a shocker, but one of our Call of Duty gun sounds certainly is.
