The platform game Buddy & Me achieved its $40,000 goal, as it totaled up $42,093 in its Kickstarter campaign.

Although it reached its goal by its Saturday, April 20th deadline, Buddy & Me had just a little over $24,000 in pledges with just several days to go. We thought it would have been tough sledding for the project to get funded, but now Sunbreak Games can put the finishing touches on their game. If they had reached their $55,000 stretch goal, the developers would have released the title for the Nintendo Wii U.

Centering on a young boy who travels with a flying creature in an enchanted forest, the title is being spearheaded by Sunbreak Games' founder Jason Behr, who was the lead level designer of Metroid Prime. Buddy & Me is set for a June release on iOS and Android devices.
