Sony has released a ton of new info on Bloodborne, its collaborative project with Dark Souls developer, From Software. Along with an official release date for the game, the PlayStation Blog also presents a new gameplay trailer and details on special editions and exclusive DLC.

Today’s announcement of Bloodborne’s Feb. 6, 2015 release date is accompanied by an impressive trailer that shows off the game’s fast-paced combat, gothic atmosphere and hideous enemies. We also get to see a bit of co-op multiplayer combat, as two warriors use their transforming weapons against a truly hideous boss character.

Also available on Feb. 6 will be the Collector’s Edition of Bloodborne. This $79.99 version includes a premium Steelbook collector’s case, a premium art book and a digital version of the game’s moody, haunting soundtrack. These Collector’s Editions will be available in limited quantities, so Sony recommends pre-ordering now. Pre-ordering a retail or digital copy of Bloodborne will also grant access to an alternate skin for players’ Messengers; special companions that rise up out of the ground to provide players with asynchronous multiplayer missions.

Bloodborne’s pedigree is enough to generate a lot of interest in the game, and the trailers have certainly piqued the interest of this office. We’ll be staying on top of any updates for Bloodborne as it approaches its Feb. 6 release, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
