The developer of the Armored Core, Dark Souls and Tenchu series has revealed some new additions to its upcoming, Victorian-era monster slayer, Bloodborne.

As Bloodborne's presentation at the PlayStation Experience conference quickly approaches, From Software has revealed that not only a new hunter, but also a new weapon will be added into the game. Bloodborne is From Software and Hidetaka Miyazaki's (the director of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls) newest project that is being made exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

The PlayStation Blog reports that Gyula is the newest hunter to be added into Bloodborne's ranks. He's supposedly an older fella who has all sorts of veteran experience. Players may end up running into him when venturing into the old part of the city. We can't wait to see what kind of attacks he can do with that behemoth-sized gun.

From Software also announced a new melee weapon is being added into Bloodborne. Like all other weapons produced for the game, this new whip will feature both a melee and long range form. When turned into its long range form, it's even scarier. It changes from a rather unassuming cane into a deadly, bladed whip -- Belmonts be praised.

Bloodborne will launch exclusively for PlayStation 4 on March 24, 2015.
