Beware This Ominous Shin Megami Tensei 4 Teaser

Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei 4 will be out in a few months, but prospective players should be forewarned, there will be consequences.

Shin Megami Tensei 4 is the first proper sequel to the SMT brand in a decade. Fans have been waiting a long time for a true successor (despite countless popular off-shoots), and Atlus' new Nintendo 3DS title is shaping up to be just as memorable as the previous entries.

Since moral choices with consequences have become all the rage in modern games, it only makes sense that one of the first franchises to introduce such mechanics would make player choice such a primary factor in SMT4. Just what these choices will be, and how they will affect the game world remains to be seen, but this teaser does hint at very drastic change being possible.

Until SMT4 actually comes out, we won't really have an idea just what kind of impact our choices will have, and how different each playthrough will be for players. That's okay with us though, as Atlus' quality of work has us optimistic SMT4 will be everything fans have been waiting for since Nocturne.
