The open multiplayer beta for Battlefield Hardline is running all-weekend-long, and it doesn't matter if you're playing on PC, Xbox or PlayStation. Just download it and enjoy.

We're giving our readers a little public service announcement: go play Battlefield Hardline's open beta for free this weekend. It doesn't matter if you're a PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 gamer -- you can download it now and enjoy. Just know that you need an active subscription to either Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus for all that multiplayer goodness (or EA Origin for all you PC heads).

Dan Mitre, a community manager for EA, announced on the PlayStation Blog that Battlefield Hardline's beta will feature three different maps and modes as well as an exclusive Battlefield 4 dog tag you'll earn by playing. This weekend's playable maps and modes include the Hotwire and Conquest modes on Dust Bowl, Hotwire mode on Downtown and Heist mode on Bank Job.

Make sure you download and partake in some cops and robbers before the beta closes on Feb. 8. Battlefield Hardline will officially launch on March 17 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Make sure you check Battlefield's official website for details in how to participate.
