The latest trailer for Battlefield Hardline focuses on the game's story and pays homage to 'The Shield,' 'The Wire' and all our other favorite cop dramas.

This story trailer for Battlefield Hardline plays out just like the intro for a TV show -- it even starts out with the narrator saying, "on the season premier of Hardline..." The video shows that the cops of Miami are out-manned and out-gunned by the influx of hostile drug dealers in the area (think 'End of Watch,' but with a happier ending). Based on the gameplay we have seen, Visceral Games is making proper use of the Frostbite 3 engine while adhering to the standards of the Battlefield franchise. Battlefield 4's main campaign was rather lacking in terms of story, and Hardline is out for atonement.

Battlefield Hardline will flare up its sirens on March 17 for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
