DICE released a new multiplayer trailer for its upcoming shooter sequel Battlefield 4, which showcases the variety of ways you'll be able to play the Frostbite 3-powered title.

While there's a lot to observe in the short three-minutes this trailer runs, the overall vibe has us excited for a Battlefield game for the first time in a few years. The last entry was solid, but unspectacular, however all the upgrades coming with Frostbite 3 make Battlefield 4 look like a can't-miss title.

In addition to seeing how BF4's multiplayer looks in standard style, we also get a glimpse at Commander mode in action. In this mode, you actually get an overview look at the entire map so you can better direct squads into action, and summon powerful attacks when needed. Levelution plays a big factor, too, and is on full display here, and we can't wait to start bringing buildings down on our own.

Check out the trailer, and start preparing yourself for war. The open multiplayer beta kicks off on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 4. Battlefield 4 will be available on Oct. 29 for those platforms, with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One getting the game at their respective launches.
