Are you ready for some of that sweet, sweet Contre-jour action? If you're anything like me, the answer is yes and you can't get enough of lushly rendered back-lit environments.

Fortunately, it looks like there's a new kid on the block to challenge the artistic beauty of the aptly named Contre Jour, one of the most beautiful games you can play on iOS. And that new kid is named Badland.

Developed by new indie game makers Frogmind, the gameplay footage features a little flying blob exploring through a dense, jungle-like environment filled with both organic and technological materials. Even with this short bit of footage, it's safe to say that this game will be just oozing with atmosphere and visual flourish.

According to Joystiq, the developers over at Frogmind promises a couple of "really big features announcements" about Badland sometime this year.
