Ubisoft is finally coming out with its free DLC, Dead Kings, which will try to make up for Assassin's Creed Unity's glitch-filled launch.

It's gotten pretty obvious that Ubisoft rushed Assassin's Creed Unity's release a little bit too early for the sake of making more money from holiday buyers, which led to its astounding amount of glitches and negative reception. Now, Ubisoft is trying to make up for it with the free Unity DLC, Dead Kings. Ubi even released a cinematic trailer for its "I'm Sorry" DLC and it actually looks pretty cool. The DLC will, "Follow Arno as he explores the city of Saint-Denis and its extensive, open world underground."

You'll uncover the secrets of the French kings while running for your life, it seems. If only Ubi spent more time fixing and ironing out Unity instead of developing DLC for a rushed game, many gamers wouldn't have lost faith with the developer in the first place.

Assassin's Creed Unity no longer has a Season Pass to buy because of its launch's hiccups. Ubisoft decided to give out the Dead Kings DLC for free as an apology and gave Season Pass holders the choice of a free Ubisoft game of their choice to make up for it.

We're just going to have to let go of the past with Arno on Jan. 14 when the Dead King DLC launches for all versions of Assassin's Creed Unity.
