Learn why Shay betrayed Achilles, Adewale and his former brethren in this new trailer for Assassin's Creed Rogue. Also, we have learned that Rogue will be joining Assassin's Creed Unity on PC.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed Rogue focusing on why Shay betrayed the Brotherhood of Assassins and became a Templar hellbent on hunting them all to extinction. If you look close, you can see that Achilles, Connor's future mentor, is much younger and made an order resulting in the deaths of innocent people, which encouraged Shay to leave the order. Shay can be seen fighting Achilles and Adewale in the trailer. Based on the timeline, Adewale (Edward Kenway's second in charge and the protagonist of the Freedom Cry DLC) is quite old. Since Rogue takes place during the Seven Years' War and Adewale dies (according to the Animus in Black Flag) in 1758, we're pretty sure it's Shay who finishes him off. Nevertheless, it's strange seeing Shay team up with Edward Kenway's son and fighting his best friend in the same video.

By the time Connor met Achilles in Assassin's Creed III, the Order of Assassins was extinct except for him. We have a feeling that Shay will kill all of the Assassins who have moved north from the Caribbean. He'll likely cripple Achilles and let him live so that he can grow old and see the Templar Order win, resulting in the bitter old man Connor met in ACIII.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue launches Nov. 11 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3. The PC version will be available sometime in early 2015.

Shay definitely knows where to hide a body.
