Arkalis Announces Stargate SG-1: Unleashed — New Game For iOS and Android

It's not every day that a new developer lands a big-ticket franchise for their first game. But that's just what European developer Arkalis has done with the announcement of their deal with MGM to bring a Stargate SG-1 game to mobile devices.

Titled Stargate SG-1: Unleashed, the new game will deliver an episodic 'interactive adventure' game to iOS and Android devices, no doubt following more than a few plays from the success of the Walking Dead game. Arkalis helped land the deal on the strength of its team, as many are veterans of other studios.

Right now, the announcement is mostly just a teaser and there are not many details about the gameplay or where it might fit into the larger context of the Stargate universe. But Arkalis has stated that they are aiming to combine high-quality graphics with casual gameplay.

Stay tuned for a gameplay video, which is targeted for sometime this month, ahead of the game's scheduled release this March.
