Alien: Isolation Trailer: How Will You Survive?

In space, no one can hear you scream... and no one can hear you scream when you watch the new trailer for Alien: Isolation, the survival horror game based on the classic sci-fi horror franchise.

Set in the timespan between 'Alien' and 'Aliens', Alien: Isolation has players in control of Amanda Ripley, daughter of the Alien series protagonist, Ellen Ripley, who is searching for his missing mother when she encounters a nightmarish creature fans know all too well.

The "How Will You Survive" video series promises to highlight some of the varied locales and wild scenarios players will face during Alien: Isolation. In this first video we can already see the Xenomorph's brutal hunting and fighting techniques in action... well, perhaps "see" is a misnomer. We mostly hear the xenomorph in action. Developer Creative Assembly promises that Alien: Isolation will make full use of sound, building an atmosphere that relies on suspense rather than a barrage of cheap gore.

Whether Alien: Isolation lives up to the hype will be something you'll have to determine for yourself when it arrives Oct. 7. One thing fans can rest assured on is that this will definitely be better than the last Alien game. We hope.
