Dave Cox, longtime producer at Konami, has ended his 17-year journey with the company.

Cox announced his last day on Twitter, which was Aug. 29, 2014.

As you can read from the tweet, he's going off to explore new opportunities after having had a hand in the production of such titles at Konami like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Silent Hill, Suikoden and Pro Evolution Soccer.

In his tweets, Cox said, "I want to thank Konami for the opportunity and all those people who supported me and the team on our journey."

With regard to his role in producing the hit game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Cox said, "I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would be given the opportunity to lead the development of a Castlevania #cvlos" and "I never imagined it would become the best selling Castlevania game in the series history either. #cvlos."

He's made no indication of what his plans for the future are, but you can follow his Twitter handle to keep abreast of his moves. We wish him the best in his endeavors.
