2K Games, publishers of games like Borderlands 2, has announced its plans for the spring on its blog. What's not on the company's plan, it seems, is having a booth at E3.

According to the blog, the publisher is prepping for the new generation of consoles and working on its big titles. But they also said they won't have a booth at E3 this year, which might not be as hard-hitting as Nintendo announcing that it won't hold a presentation at the expo, but might still be pretty shocking.

Instead, 2K Games will be focusing on new titles like Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World, XCOM: Enemy Unknown for iOS, more Borderlands 2 content, and other titles like WWE 2K14 and NBA 2K14.

Let us know what you think of 2K Games' upcoming absences. Does it surprise you? Or are you too busy playing BioShock Infinite and Borderlands 2 to care?
